A Selection of Head Cozies

These head cozies began life after a friend spotted my felted tea cozy and promptly put it on his head declaring he wanted one!

The cozies are made in one piece with a vinyl resist in the middle to stop the front felting to the back. In a moment of madness I convinced myself I needed to add extra wool around the resist to allow for shrinkage…well of course it felted to itself to form a 'border' round the main hat. This 'mistake' put me on a path that produced a series of crazy head cozies, which were enormous fun and which I'd never have conceived unless I'd make this mistake!

They double as a proper tea cozy - so there are two for the price of one. First it'll keep your tea warm, once warmed you can pop it on and head out into the cold! Always remember 'mistakes are gifts from the gods!'

This healing amulet is one of twenty I created for a commission after the Studio Tour. Each one was quite different and included a healing stone that felt right for each piece. They were given as gifts for graduating students.

Healing Stones    approximately 8" x 9"

These unique handcrafted felt wall pieces are created with finest merino, silk, threads and manmade glitters. The piece is then free machine embroidered. I choose a crystal to sit safely in the 'pocket'. A description of its qualities and properties accompany each piece.

Carnelian: a stabilizing stone with high energy. Gives courage, promotes positive life choices. Dispels apathy. Helps you trust yourself. Overcomes negative conditioning. Stimulates the metabolism.
